Why Orlando Magic Fans Hate Dwight Howard?

If there’s ever justice serve in this world, the Orlando Magic Fans should get second and third helpings. Dwight Howard totally screwed this franchise, he didn't even had the decency of showing up at the Dwight Howard Basketball Camp in Orlando, leaving about one hundred children and their parents waiting for him (after the parents paid $200 per child). It was one final insult to the very few loyal fans that he still had in Orlando. http://jeolmoz2.hubpages.com/hub/Dwight … ando-Magic

I think for two years Dwight Howard played with the emotions of the Orlando Magic fans.  Back and forth with "I want to stay" to "I want out of here"  to "No I mean it I want out of here" to "I think I want to stay" to "Get me out of here".  I am not a Magic fan but the act wore thin on me as well.

I think part of the reason Shaq is feuding with Howard is because Shaq lives in Orlando and at one point interviewed for the Magic's GM position, so he resents the shape Howard left Orlando and the fans

Hate is a strong word. I just dislike him because he's selfish, self centered and still has a lot of growing up to do. He allowed his position to go to his head and enlarge his ego. In the long run the only person he's hurting is himself. Oh and he's a punk.

Agree "Hate" might be a strong word, but more than "Punk"? hahaha

I find it funny that he seems to get a bigger pass than Lebron James on this one. Even Lebron didn't go back and forth over what he wanted to do, and where he wanted to play. The Decision tv show was a bad idea, but I think Dwight played more people with the way he handled his situation.

Agree "The Decision" not good idea, even LeBron will publicly admit it, but your absolutely right he did not go back and forth like Howard did

Part of feud is that Howard told an Orlando Sentinel reporter that,'quote',"...he was not going to run out on Orlando fans like Shaq did..."

Two reasons: The primary reason was a loyalty issue. Dwight Howard said he wanted to play in Orlando, but yet he still demanded to be traded from the team.

Two, the team didn't get anything for Howard's trade – they didn't get any value in return. The 76ers got better, the Denver Nuggets got better, the Lakers got better, but Orlando is back at square one: rebuilding.

Yeap! Howard changed mind depending on what day of the week it was. Thanks for answering
