Can you recommend some good winter hiking gloves?
I'm in need of some good, warm hiking gloves with treads, for lack of a better word, for walking in the woods. I use a walking stick for balance, especially going up and down the mountains, and I need something with a grip. Yeah, grip is much better word that treads. They need to be warm, because we're in New York. Thanks in advance!
Head to your local outdoor shop and see what they have for you. No two hands are the same and it's amazing how glove sizing a differ between brands
I have a fantastic set of Quechua Bionassay hiking/ mountaineering gloves with a tough and relatively grippy leather palm. They're waterproofed and breathable although almost too warm until temperatures hit freezing. Igot a bargain for around $40 usd.
If youstruggle for warmth you could always consider a silk liner glove for an extra couple of degrees of warmth
