Is this bike a good deal?
I'm interested in this bike on craigslist, but I'm worried because it's used carbon fiber... Any advice? It's 2008 and apparently all carbon for only $499... Seems too good to be true, but....
All Shimano 105 and Ultegra... Any advice would be greatly appreciated, this is my first bike...
P.S. Before someone suggests a bike shop I only have a budget of 400-500 dollars so I can't afford a brand new bike for a grand or more...
If something is too good to be true it usually is. It may be stolen so make sure the numbers are still visible underneath. If you do go to look at it see if the person selling looks like they would have actually riden it. $500 is a lot of money so you have to be careful buying secondhand items on craigslist. Take someone with you too. Let's say it is legit tbut that price sound just too good, then as the bike is carbon there may be a crack in the frame somewhere. It only has to be a slight crack for the frame to be trash, so look for cracks.
If it doesnt feel right walk away, something else will come along.

I have two hubs up so far. I am not entirely sure what a great ranking would be considering that they are quite new, but they are both above 60. Is this pretty good for newly established hubs? I would appreciate any feedback on my work and what can be done to improve for the future, as well as...
