What are your favorite activities, recipes, remedies, gadgets and overall just simply your best strategies to stay cool in hot summers?
Swimming pools and the river helps me to stay cool. I love swimming.

Just get outdoors. Take sunscreen and water. It's better to be active rather than sit idle.
Stay indoors as much as possible, have plenty of popcycles and ice cream in the house, check the car and home air conditioning, have little fans on the key chains, a set of water bottles at the ready.

Jeez, air conditioners on, but sweat is still trickling off me and it is so muggy. Humidity is unbelievable! Has anybody any ideas on how to cool down?

i know most people in the south of USA are used to the extreme heat but this is incredible-125 heat index?it actually 96 right now...I don't like the heat!
