   Are athletes put under too much pressure to return prematurely from an injury?
   
   Recently there as been a numerous professional athletes that have been injured, gone through the rehab process and return to their game only to be re-injured. Star athletes such as Derrick Rose, Kobe Bryant, and Russell Westbrook have all been re-injured shortly after returning to the court. Is there something wrong with the rehab process? are short cuts being taken? Pressure on the athletes to return?

   I think the pressure is inherent. Doesn't necessarily come from above, although it might. But still, I don't think any athlete likes to sit on the bench not contributing, so they put themselves through the pressure to get back in the game. Imagine poor Derrick Rose, injuring himself during a playoff game, sitting through one whole season watching his team make it to the playoffs again, and him not being able to help... it's obvious that an athlete in such a position will push himself as much as he can to return.
   
   Also, some managers and coaches can also contribute to the pressure. Fans too. It's a very complicated situation to be in.
