    I'm a little surprised they didn't give him another year, although I think he shoulda never been hired in the first place.

    I am not surprised. I was shocked when he became head coach. Seattle needs a lot of work to rebuild.

    He should take a page from Charlie Weis' book and be an assistant coach somewhere. He'll probably do a better job doing that than being a head coach.

    ESPN is reporting that Pete Carroll has agreed in principle to become the new Seattle Seahawks Head Coach and Team President.

    He had such a good thing going at USC.  He had a lot of other opportunities to go to the NFL.  Why now?

        It's more about the money, money, money USC players were getting from boosters and not wanting to get stuck with the NCAA's payback.
