Apparently, the word, "Rangers", is now considered racially insensitive to Hispanics, Latinos and African Americans because of the Rangers history of killing them throughout history. As someone who's part Hispanic myself, I never considered the word racially insensitive myself, but eh. Maybe I'm just ignorant I guess. Anyways, what are your thoughts? Should the Texas Rangers change their name to appease cancel culture like the Washington Redskins agreed to do recently, or should they keep it the same? Here's the article link for more information, and let me know what you guys think:

I agree with Live to Learn's response: "Someone stop the insanity."

We are going to get to a point where teams will be known as MLB team #1, team #2, etc.
Even just calling them the X City Baseball Team will offend some people
Washington Baseball team? Washington was a slave owner so no.
Los Angeles Baseball team? That means the angels in Spanish. Religion is offensive to some.
Texas Baseball team? Texas was stolen from Mexico so that would be insensitive.
You get the point. EVERYTHING is offensive to someone, so if we are getting rid of everything offensive, then everything as to go.
By the way...who gets to decide what is offensive? No one has ever asked me.
That's been my thought all along; everything will offend someone, somewhere, that is looking for a reason to be offended.

The Rangers won the silent auction-style bidding for Japanese right-hander Yu Darvish, and if they can negotiate a deal with him over the next month they'll pay over $50 million in compensation to his Japanese team. This was almost a necessary move for the Rangers. They've lost their top pitcher...

Who will sign Cliff Lee, the Texas Rangers or New York Yankees?

Now I've heard everything. Earlier in 2020, products like Aunt Jemima and Uncle Ben's were considered "racist" products due to featuring black people on their logos. Then the Washington Redskins had to change their name because it was offensive to a small group of Native...

Background:https://www.wbur.org/hereandnow/2021/03 … olice-billMost troubling....This has got to be a harbinger toward a trend that will probably sell like hot cakes in red states.1. The definition for "insult" is very subjective and could be interpreted as a protester just...
