First they censure McCain and Ducey in Arizona for McCain endorsing Biden and Ducey signing off on the election results.

Kinzinger expects to be censured in Illinois.  Tom Rice got censured in South Carolina.  Gaetz goes to Wyoming to hold a rally against Liz Cheney.

It seems the right is cancelling anyone not in support of Trump.  Just the latest example of the autocratic ways of the GOP.

They learn quickly, don't they?  Especially with such good teachers!

I love how you always manage to blame someone else for GOP/conservative/Trumper/looneyright behavior.  It's truly breathtaking!  lol

Basically cancel culture has become much worse over the past years. The right has pretty much taken the attitude --- "can't beat 'em, join 'em " attitude. In regard to the GOP, I  think Trump ushered it in. He was very obvious, and transparent as well as swift when canceling someone out.

I would guess both sides will continue to practice canceling out anyone that gets in the way of their ideologies. I mean did you think the "new right" would not get down in the dirt? The Republicans have evolved, and the face of the party is changing quickly. IMO It's becoming as twisted and ugly as the Democrats have been for 30 years.

I dislike the focus on Trump in particular.

There is a battle going on, between the Establishment, which controls the media, the institutions and the politicians, and "Main St. America".

Trump was what they chose to use as a tool to fight the establishment, but without Trump, the fight goes on and grows in momentum.

We see this in the attacks on Wall St. hedge funds last week, and how Average America Smalltime Investors worked together to bankrupt one of the bigger firms by attacking their short position.

I will keep saying, there is a tsunami coming, because soon the "extreme" left and "extreme" right are going to stop blaming one another, stop buying into the establishment fed racism and rhetoric, and they are going to start working together to take down those in control, to take down the DC establishment.

There is not stopping this, there is no masking it, they are successful in doing so right now by blaming the "Trumpsters" (AKA racists, sexists, etc.) but as Trump fades into the background, and there is no focal point for the media or those in revolt against the system to focus on... they will ALL switch to DC/Congress/Establishment itself.

If you are not tied into fighting for one side or the other (Dems or Reps), and I am not, then this is much clearer to see coming.

How will this tsunami come? How will the momentum occur?
I think you are being idealistic.
I think the resistance will soften and reside into complacency because it's so hard, otherwise.

Unless, there are practical reasons to resist.
... like no money and no jobs on a very widespread level.
... or obvious teardowns of American institutions.

No money and no jobs on a very widespread level...

Break down of social standards and safety....

Millions on the verge of loss of home...

It is possible that the system can be saved...

It would require something done, even greater than FDR's "new deal for the American people" as he described it.

Roads and Bridges were built connecting lands that were once separated. Airports and runways made people airborne. Power lines brought light where there once was none. And most importantly, the unemployed were once again hard at work. It was the greatest infrastructure project in this country's history, and they will have to create an even more industrious effort to save this country from the looming economic collapse and chaos that would ensue.

Every highway rebuilt, every power line re-run, every retaining wall along the Mississippi and cell tower on every hilltop, and much more.

It is time, bridges are decaying and collapsing that were built almost 100 years ago, airports are in deplorable conditions, compared to nations like China we are beginning to look like a 3rd world country.

Only by reinvesting into and rebuilding this country, devoting trillions not to bank bailouts and corporate tax incentives, but to the renewal of our nation and putting its people back to work will this country avoid a tumultuous upheaval and painful political overthrow.

I seriously doubt the nation has the leadership capable of seeing the tsunami on the horizon, they are too petty, too privileged, and too corrupt to do the right things.

I guess NewsMax wanted to get in on the cancel culture.  They refused to let the MyPillow guy bring up Dominion machines:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XcqEEEEA1N4

You know it's bad when they bring on a guest to talk about cancel culture, and then have to cancel him out.
