I've been a Lakers fan all my life, so you know who my vote is (the guy with more experience and more championship rings). Post your opinion here, and I will tally them in the end. I will be posting a hub about these two, so be sure to follow me and stay tuned for that.

    What are you asking?

Are you asking for opinions on who is better right now or who has the better resume over time?  Kobe is older and has more miles on his body than LeBron, and if you are asking who is the better player in March 2010, I would give the edge to LeBron James, based upon relative youth and athleticism.  Certainly Bryant's athleticism rivaled James when Bryant was younger.

If you are asking who has had the best career, obviously Kobe Bryant has accomplished more than James has so far.  It should be noted that when the Lakers were successful, Bryant had far more help than James has ever had in Cleveland.  When Bryant had to carry a weaker team, he was no more successful than James has been.

So... what exactly are you comparing here?

With no further idea of what you're looking for in a response, I will opt for James.

BTW:  In a few years, you might need to include a write-in vote for Kevin Durant.

    Cheers!

I was asking who is better right now. Based on the fact that Kobe won the 'Ship last year, I'm definitley going with Kobe, even though I am a little biased. Who knows? Maybe Lebron will end up being better...He has to win first though.

Ehhh...championships are not all about one player. I think that Kobe has better personnel surrounding him, for sure. Based on your stance, I would say the Lakers are a better team than the Cavs, which no way proves who is better (Kobe or Lebron).

How about this... would Lebron win with Kobe's team?...damn straight he would, without a doubt. And even a better question, would Kobe be as successful as Lebron with Lebron's team...I think not. Kobe has already proven he needs a great supporting staff in order to be successful. Look at what happened when Shaq left.

(shrugs) I think if I was to start a team right now, I would take Lebron over Kobe.

yeah, i have to agree with drej here about what he said.  plus, if the number championships were the determining factor in who the best player of all time is, then NOBODY WOULD BEAT BILL RUSSELL,  as he has over 11 rings.

I don't blame you, but I can't really stand Lebron either. He's kind of full of himself. Then again, you can't really blame either of them. They are the best basketball players on the planet.
