Mickey Mantle played 1st base in 67 & 68. That would make him one of the greatest...depending on the rules for how you pick.

Gehrig -- the best career 1st baseman, hands down. (IMHO).

I have a Mickey Mantle autograph on a bar tab receipt if anyone is interested... my mother in law was the accountant for the establishment at the time.

The "Iron Horse" collected 2721 hits, 493 home runs, 1995 RBI's and posted a career .340 batting average over his 17-year career.

Who other than Lou Gehrig can claim this title!
