   I've been hearing about Hybrid bikes but cudn't actually make out what is it... are cannondale bikes one of them...Seriously confusing..somebody tell me!

   hello- to answer your question, hybrid bikes are what manufactures put together using parts that are from other bikes- hence its a hybrid(made from mant parts) Cannondale the company that you mentioned make specialised bikes for different categories in biking. ie XC cross-country, downhill, free ride
   
   However i do not know with out checking if cannondale do make a hybrid- i suspect not because as i say they are specialised so why should they.
   if you want a hybrid bike try one of the larger manufactures from around the world who make millions of bikes.
   you could look through my hubs i have some one bikes- let me know if you need more information- i'll try and help you out.

   A hybrid bike is a bike that is made as a sort of cross between a mountain bike and a road bike. There are several different types, but generally they use the more upright position (no curved handlebars) of a mountain bike. They also usually have a larger wheel diameter like a road bike (which makes them faster) and don't have suspension, but do have thicker tires like a mountain bike. They are lighter and faster than a typical mountain bike, but sturdier and more durable than a typical road bike.
   
   There are lots of hybrid bike manufacturers, but probably the most well known are Schwinn and Trek.
