Eau de Toilette have a small percentage of the actual fragrance and yet cost a bomb in comparison to Eau de Parfums. Why is this so?
Actually, I have found perfume to be much more expensive for the amount, size wise. A dab will do, when it comes to fragrance. Perfume lasts much longer.
Eu De Toilette has hardly 10-15% fragrance essence strength and a spray does not even last 3 hours. A perfume has up to 30% essence strength and a dab on the pulse points is enough to last even up to 8 hours. Yet price wise Eu De Toilette costs so much and finishes faster, whereas the perfume though in smaller packing, but costing more lasts much longer. Many people do not know the difference between Eu De Toilette and perfume. Caught in a rushed scenario, people spend too much for their fragrances. For better mileage of your hard earned money and for lasting strengths, buy perfumes.
Quick tip about EDT, keep it in the dark! When perfumes are exposed to natural light it actually does something to the chemicals and compounds that give it its fragrance. After a few weeks out in the sun your perfume will loose some potency and become weaker, which in turn will cause you to use more of it for a longer lasting fragrance and so you will run out twice as fast!
