    There is nothing wrong with that. It helps to identify where the child is schooling.

    the only reason i like the idea is that it helps with bullying. poor kids get picked on because they don't dress as nice as wealthier kids or because they can't afford the latest fashion so uniforms would help equalise them.

    Yes because as nightwork said it might help cut down on the bullying in schools...both Elementary & High School

    It is compulsory in many schools in Australia for children to wear a uniform (I even wore a school tie at the State school I attended even though it wasn't compulsory to wear the tie). Apart from providing the child with a school identity and fostering pride as already suggested, it helps to teach children about expectations an employer might have later in life.  Many businesses require employees to wear a uniform or have a uniform policy.
