I'm not sure I understand completely but if you are looking to get naturally shiny nails you can buy a buffer at a local pharmacy or beauty supply store. Usually it will be smooth(not rough at all) and should say something about "shine". Sometimes you can find buffers that have multiple sides in which one side is for filing the other for smoothing and one side for shining.

If you aren't looking for natural cures for shiny nails Sally Hansen and Nutra-Nail make great clear nail polishes that strengthen your nails while providing shine.

I hope I answered your question...

File and buff your nails on a regular basis.  Not only does this make your nails shiny, but it gets rid of imperfections in your nails and helps prevent snagging/breakage.  Putting lotion on your hands regularly will also help.

    Hi Shanaaya,
I agree with the other comments, use a buffer. The nail file I use (purchased from a Pharmacy) is devided into two sections on each side, two on one side are for filing the nails and the two on the other for buffing.  The first buffer is a little courser and will smooth out any ridges and the second is finer and with just a quick rub has my nails shining, you don't need to wear polish over them!  Maybe you could find one of these in your area. Best wishes smile
