Where can I Find Inexpensive Mother of the Bride Dresses?
My brother-in-law and one of my children are getting married, and another child is having a baby. I'm trying to save as much cash as possible. Does anyone have any ideas where I can find a nice dress that doesn't cost a large sum of money?
Try looking for the more upscale resale shops in your area. They are often full of great dresses (and other higher end clothing) at great prices. Consignment shops are also a good idea. If you find something in a resale shop (or even a thrift store sometimes will have decent items) You can have a friend or hire a seamstress to do any needed alterations. If you're really ambitious you can totally repurpose a piece and make it your own also.
I'm not sure where your from but try stores like JCPenneys, Kohls, Macys, Sears. Look online. There are plenty of great dresses out there without having to spend and arm and a leg on them. Good Luck and Best wishes
Would you feel comfortable buying a dress online? Obviously this is more risky as it's not guaranteed that it will fit you, but if you buy it in plenty of time before the wedding you could always exchange it or return it. There are loads of great online shops that you could find, but I think one of the best offering discount dresses is http://www.lightinthebox.com/c/mother-o … esses_2545 . Good luck with your search!
