When 'modest', what do you think is meant?

In my personal opinion, I feel, 'moms' today should explain to their 'quick' to follow celebrity trends, daughter, by giving her or them, 'lady like' instructions on 'appearances' and their choices in more appropriate clothes for school, going to church or in general!  Parents that care what their daughters wear, maybe you would like to comment, on how you are handling with the change of times and times of expressing themselves in the what and how they wear their clothes.  and Why they do some of the things they do, in nails, hair, and piercing?

The best thing a parent could do in my opinion, is to not let their kids watch the T.V at all..Keep them busy doing things they love, instead of watching things they love..One's good for them, & the other one is brain washing..Explain to their kids that they shouldn't want to "follow the crowd", & worship celebrities..They should explain to them that they have to be different, & be who they are as an individual..Because if they don't & they follow the crowd/celebs etc, they will lose touch with who they are themselves which leads to a confusing unhappy life..The trouble is kids today aren't really expressing themselves, all their doing is copying their friends who in turn are only copying celebs.

Okay.  In 'common' 'norm' of todays society, Dave, our kids are constantly plagued with 'temptation ' .  Peer pressure.  Social Media, old and new family traditions and values help to shape the minds of our kids.

It's not just kids we're all plagued, by temptation/peer pressure/media etc..An adult knows the difference between right & wrong, but a young child still has that to learn..I suppose that's the best a parent could ever do, educate the kids on val
