Whats the reason behind the recent natural look?

Fashion has switched into loving the natural look. Why do you think that is?

Because people have finally regained their senses and realized that makeup is garish, ugly, and repulsive 90% of the time. And because people realized the actual intended purpose of makeup, which is to polish up one's own natural look without looking like they're on their way to a masquerade ball.

It's anti-fashion, the same way the 90s were. It ties in with normcore. There's the idea right now that the only way to truly show personal style is to intentionally dress nondescriptly, because any other fashion choice has become so commercialized.

I'm not sure but I am natural (hair and all) and I embrace it. I have been natural for almost four years and I decided to go natural because my hair was breaking off for one thing and I just wanted a new look. People laughed at the beginning when I was transitioning, but then the same people who were laughing at me started going natural it was crazy! But I indeed love the natural look not for a trend but because I feel free and feel more like myself. I always considered myself different but I actually have an opportunity to show my diversity because I am just being me. As far as makeup I wear it occasionally but only when I just want to switch up my look but I am glad people are becoming more comfortable with themselves and I hope the natural look continues to prosper!
