I'm curious to know how women feel about wearing jeans with fancy stitching, bling and cute designs on the back pockets. We call this the "boutique" jean. Do younger women feel this best fits their style? How about over 40 crowd? My mom (55+)wears the cute rhinestone designed pockets but I also know some women who feel this is not appropriate for their age group. What do you think?

When I was in high school, I'm not going to lie, I use you to wear jeans with fancy stitching and rhinestones because that what was in in at the time. When I attended college I began to develop my own identity. I am now 25 years old and over the years I have realize that I like plain pocket jeans. All of my jeans I own now do not have any type stitching designs on the pocket. I like a simple pocket. I will not buy any pair of jeans if there is designs on the pocket.

I'm not a woman. If the pants have too much "bling", then it makes the person look foolish, regardless of age. wink

If pants have a nice decorative design, that's one thing, but some of the garbage on the market, is sometimes unfathomable and down right ugly.

I prefer jeans without the bling.  Occasionally, some fancy stitching is okay, but for the most part I focus on a good fit and simple pockets.

I'm in the 30 something crowd.
