Apple Products Make Capturing Everyday Moments Easy
Capturing life's moments

Iphone 5s

Technology is a huge part of everyday life
It's no secret that technology is a huge part of our culture these days. The rapid growth in technology is astounding. More and more people are using one, if not multiple devices on a day to day basis. iPhones, MacBooks, iPads, etc. are no longer just for the business savvy individual, but as a mom I have found these devices very useful.
I originally kept saying that I did not want an iPhone. I felt that smartphones like the iPhone had too many features and I wanted to keep things simple…call, text, the basics! Boy was I wrong! The #1 reason I have enjoyed the iPhone is because of it's ability to help me document everyday life!
Capturing more is easier than ever
Everyone told me that with each kid you have, there are always fewer and fewer photos of them. The poor 4th child usual has the smallest baby book and wonders if they lived a boring childhood since not much was documented compared to the first child. While that might have been true once upon a time, I believe the iPhone and its photo capabilities have made it so much simpler to snap tons of photos.
Lets face it, our cell phones are always on us or close by and that's why it is so easy to capture and make memories out of the ordinary, simple moments of life. Rarely do I ever grab my actual camera anymore. And of course I don't want another thing to keep up with when I leave the house. I'm pretty sure the ol' digital camera has been on the bookshelf for quite some time now, just collecting dust. I can't think of the last time I used it!
Kiddos, Food, and Selfies…oh my!
I am kind of a photo junkie and have probably thousands of pictures from just everyday moments of life. My 2 kids are the primary subject for most of the pics and probably hate the words, "Hey, let me take a picture of that!" But I've been able to capture sweet moments, a craft project completed, silly faces, expressions of joy and so much more. I know it's these photos that I'll be able to look back over when I'm old and grey and reminiscence on fond memories!!

I love to cook and bake. It is so simple to quickly snap a photo of a delicious successful pinterest meal. I do a lot of cake and cupcake baking on the side (Cupcakes by Becca). Being able to easily photograph my work has helped me to build a better portfolio of my work. I'm also a huge sucker for a great after pic and love having a photo to remember it by! (Because lets face it…the cupcakes aren't going to last long around hungry party guests!)
Outfit Selfie!!!

While I'm not a huge selfie person…I do take the occasion outfit selfie to text a sister for approval…lol!!!! I'm sure I'll look back on these pics in years to come and my kids will ask the question, "What were you wearing!"
Why my MacBook is handy!
Since I take so many pictures I'm constantly having to transfer them from my phone…and that is why my MacBook Pro has been so handy. I love using iPhoto! It is very simple to use and has great tools for organization. I have been able to compile our different photos into different albums based on date or event. I have LOTS of albums :)
So how do you document your everyday life…has your iPhone, iPad, or MacBook become a huge part of that?
