ClickFree DVD Transformer - Easy Way to Burn Files to CD or DVD

Updated on March 6, 2011

Backing up all data on a computer is not the easiest thing to do – not to mention the time that it takes. You and I both know how hard it is to find a block of time to perform a task that we dread. Fortunately for all of us there is an easy and quick solution to backup all of the data on all of our computers onto a CD. I bet you thought I was going to talk about backing up to an external hard drive or to a flash drive. Not this time however - I am talking about the ClickFree DVD Transformer.

ClickFree DVD Transformer is compatible with Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7. Also Compatible with Mac OS X 10.5 and later.

How Does the ClickFree DVD Transformer Work?

The ClickFree DVD Transformer looks much like a USB flash drive. That is where the similarity ends.

There is no software to install because all of the needed software is inside of the DVD Transformer. Once it is inserted into the USB port of a computer the software automatically installs itself. Mutilple computers can be backed up with the same ClickFree DVD Transformer so one is all you need. For those of us that need our gadgets to be small and portable this is one of the best.

Once the ClickFree software is installed you can either do nothing or you can cusomize your backup preferences. After the initial backup session you can choose that the next backup session only include new or changed files or you can choose to let it back up all of the files located on your computer.

After inserting the ClickFree DVD Transformer and after the DVD Transformer has located all ofyour files, all you have to do is to insert a blank CD or DVD into the burner. Click on the files that you want to burn and click OK. That is all you do – the ClickFree DVD Transformer does the rest. No other burning software is necessary.

Most files – around 400 different file formats can be backed up with the ClickFree DVD Transformer. The ClickFree software searches out all of the files and groups them together so they are easily found later. All of the files or specified files can easily be restored to the same computer or to any other computer. Can you imagine how easy it can be to share all of your photos? Visit your friends and family and easily transfer them to their computer – no more emailing them a few at a time!

Why Would I Want to Backup My Files to a CD or DVD?

Data backed up to a DVD is easy to store on and off-site. Remember – copies of all backed up files should be kept separate than those that you use regulary. Bank Safety Deposit Boxes are probably the best places beacause they are secure and safe from most any disaster. However, a DVD is easily kept in a DVD organizer in the trucnk of your car or even at a family members home.

Who is the ClickFree DVD Transformer Designed For?

Anyone can use the ClickFree DVD Transformer.

There will always be those that like to do these things for themselves and in their own way – but for the rest of us the ease of backing up our files determines whether we do it at all.
