The Highest Megapixel Compact Camera
Sony TX200v Has Highest Resolution of Any Compact Camera
If you want a camera that takes great photos, one of the important factors is the number of megapixels. A camera with 2 MP resolution can't take photos that look as good as a camera with 10 MP resolution. Of course, megapixels alone don't determine the quality, but they sure help. That's why a lot of folks are taking a look at the 18.2 MP Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX200v. This camera, released in early 2012, can claim fame as the compact camera with the highest megapixels. But that's not the only cool feature about the TX200v.

Waterproof and Dustproof, Too
In addition to being the highest megapixel camera in its class, the Cyber-shot DSC-TX200v has a lot of other features users will love. It's waterproof and dustproof, making it a great camera to take to the beach, lake or swimming pool.
It can also shoot full 1080p HD video at 60 fps, and you can take still photos even while you're recording. And you won't have to worry about squinting at a small viewer - the TX200v has a 3.3-inch OLED screen to help you focus and review your shots. At a mere 4.6 ounces and only 3.9 long and 2 inches thick, this tiny but powerful camera can easily be stuffed in a pocket or purse. So far, customers are giving it good reviews. After only being out a couple months, the Sony DSC-TX200v has a 4- out of 5-star rating on Amazon.
With the speed at which cameras are being developed and improved every day, the Sony TX200v probably won't be able to keep the title of Highest Megapixel Camera in its class of waterproof cameras or compact cameras for long, but for now, this tough little Cyber-shot is the champ among compact cameras.
