Do you own any Apple products? Why or why not?
Doing a little bit of research here. In my experience, people are rarely lukewarm towards Apple -- they're either "Apple lovers" who own multiple Apple products or "Apple haters" who don't own any. Do you fit into one of those categories, or would you classify yourself differently?
I classify myself as "Windows poor." If I could afford a Mac, then I'd have one. When my old xp computer sustained a fatal power surge....what I could afford was a newer old xp computer.
I don't currently have a cell phone, so no Iphone for me either.
I'm an Apple Hater They're a prime example of marketing over product quality.
I've used an iPad 2 and not impressed. I've had an iPod and found it clumsy, more difficult to use than say products from Zen or Sansa and VERY overpriced. The only reason most people buy them is down to their clever marketing (more or less saying you're not a worthwhile human being without at least one of their products) and monopolizing compatible products/ apps (iPod compatible only car stereos etc).
There are many more better priced and better quality products out there but they have a smaller marketing budget...

No, but I do want a Mac note book, I do graphics, photos -n- stuff and I see that Macs are better at that that PCs. I can't afford a Mac now and PCs are so cheap. If my PC fizzed out now, I would buy another PC because of the cost.
Only one. An ipod classic. I've had it for 4 years. Honestly, I do not like apple formatting on their products and get annoyed when using them. I personally like Sony and Samsung.
I do use them, but I avoid them where I can. I have an Android tablet with keyboard, and it plays any movie type I choose, not just Quicktime.
Honestly, I hate the arrogance of Apple and their staff. The service in the Apple stores is appalling, and the prices just astonishing. £12 (that's roughly $20) for a USB cable!
I just had a friend telling me another horror story of Apple Store staff today, where they refused to serve him as he had left the store during his appointment so his appointment was "over", even though it was them that had sent him out of the store to get something.
Plus anyone who thinks it's OK to actually require you to make an appointment in order to get one of their products fixed is on a different planet anyway. Quite why we have allowed them to get this arrogant is unknowable.
And lastly, because you've got me started now, shall we look at the astonishingly poor software they produce? Sure, the hardware is shiney and, er, white (that was their genius - they made hardware white, wow what a breakthrough). But the software?
Anyone used Safari? Terrible. QuickTime? Terrible. iTunes? So terrible words fail me. A system that installs content twice when you copy it over, but offers no way to delete delete duplicate content easily. Genius.
Oh, I could go all day.
And before I get written off as a Windows nut, ask me what I think of Windows 7? ;-)
I don't dislike Apple products, and I've had to use Macs at work and school for years. The sole reason why I don't buy Apple products though is the price. I can find other music players, laptops, tablets, or whatever for a much better price if I go with a different brand. And I am happy with all the non-Apple devices I own, so I see no reason to spend the extra money.
I love Apple . . . switched over about four years ago. I will NEVER go back now. The high cost is offset by the fact that you do not have to purchase Norton or whatever security updates every year. That's about $100.00 per year? Not sure as I don't have to anymore. Macs seldom get viruses . . . I've never heard of one. Apple software updates automatically show up on your screen as soon as they are available and are uploaded with just a click. So yup I got the Macbook and the IPhone . . . and yes this Apple lover sleeps with her IPhone.

What sort of computer do you own and how are you liking it?Hi, I'm a bit of a tech-geek. And I've just picked up a powerhouse model of a Lenovo. I know right? Low end brand? Well, some of their more expensive models are not. I'm loving it. But I'd like to know what you got and how your fairing.

We all know that apple make great user products and once you own one you want them all. But after own at least six of apples products I can step back and say they are only as good as you think. If you can understand what I'm saying or if you own anything that belongs to the apple family you'll...
