   Is that Facebook is harmful for relationships?
   
   It is a current topic. But it is said that Facebook is "harmful" for real relationships and also for the moral (because we are jealous ... even without intending it). So?

   I think the way people use Facebook has the potential to be harmful to relationships. However, I do not think that the responsibility or blame should be on Facebook. Just because it is easy to message people, flirt, spy on your partner or cyber stalk them and get jealous, Facebook does not make a person do those things.
   
   People harm their own relationships by behaving badly. With or without Facebook, someone who would do it on Facebook would probably do it off of Facebook eventually. I think people need to be responsible in their relationships on and off line.

   It may be harmful for some people.  Overall I don't see Facebook as being harmful, my wife and I are passive users of the service and do not spend a great deal of time using it.  I do know some people that are obsessed when using Facebook and perhaps that may hinder their relationship.  I think for the most part people do not live, eat a breath Facebook therefore it is a non factor in the health of a relationship.

   I find facebook to be very helpful for my relationship. I move home during the summer and live about 3 hours away from my boyfriend. With facebook we are able to chat with each other, share photos, send messages, and generally see what the other is up to. I trust my boyfriend and have no reason to "cyber stalk" him or worry that he is doing things behind my back.
   
   If someone is not committed to their relationship and uses facebook in a way that hurts their relationship it is their fault, not facebook's.
