I heard that Facebook is losing the young members. Who agrees with that?
I had heard a while ago that the younger members were leaving Facebook and being replaced by others. If this is true, perhaps this is why Hubs are not getting much response from there.
Young people are always looking for whatever is "next" or "new". Once parents and grandparents get ahold of something it looses it's "hip appeal". Facebook is mainstream with big businesses too.
Having said that Facebook passes 1.23 billion monthly active users, 945 million mobile users, and (757 million daily users). Your social network is only as good as the people connected to you. Where as a relative or (personal friend) is likely to read your latest hub a "Facebook friend" may not.
I take it that means that you agree, I have no knowledge not being a member myself.
I agree in the sense that young people tend to move on to find things that are newer or hipper. However when it comes to Hubs getting responses that has more to do with the topic of the hub as well as the people in (your) network of friends.
That is my point, if we choose their type of topics once in a while then we may get comments from them; but what is the use of posting Hubs to FB which are about items they have no interest in.
My son is 12 and he and his friends are using Instagram (where they mainly post silly photos of their pets and other random nonsense) and some kind of chat site called "Kik." Facebook isn't even on their radar.
So you also agree that the young ones are not on there. I have not joined so I have no experience on there.
Yeah, but in terms of membership numbers, Facebook is still the Big Kahuna. I guess kids are going elsewhere because now even Grandmas are on Facebook and that definitely takes away its "cool" factor, haha
I couldn't tell you. I am not on there. I tried it when I was 21, never could get into it. I have used it since and I am going on 27 next year.
Yes, I have heard that middle and high school aged adolescents are leaving Facebook because they now see it as an 'old person's' social network. They once flocked to it, but too many 'oldies' like me are opening Facebook accounts. When they saw their parents getting Facebook accounts, they decided it was not the place to be. LOL! I find that hilarious. On a more serious note, many are leaving because of the cyber bullying that has gone on on Facebook. I don't blame them for leaving for this reason. Good Question!
Maybe if we write some Hubs for them they would get traffic from there. :-D

Is it Facebook protocol to not say "I saw that" when commenting on an article someone posted?my brother posted a news article to his page. In commenting on it, I said "Saw that one last night" and continued to comment on the article. He sent me the following in a private message:...
