Best Ear Headphones

Updated on September 14, 2013

Some of The Best Ear Headphones on Todays Market!

Believe it or not I spent over four (4) hours looking for the Best Ear Headphones in one of my favorite electrical outlet stores as well as browsing over various other items, but mainly headphones, and ones of which have to be considered as some of the best on today's market.

This is my personal review of what I consider to be some of the best ear headphones, those which I have tried, tested, or concluded an in-depth review on, and ones that I have actually purchased.

Have a browse over these best ear headphones and maybe there is a pair you will like!

Miles Davis Trumpet High Performance In-ear Headphones with ControlTalk! - Best Ear Headphones!

An uniquely designed and beautifully crafted high performance in-ear headphones that will give you an unbelievable sound experience with sonic detail and clarity that will provide you with such emotional detailed sound.

Having experienced the Miles Davis headphones up against many others throughout this lens, they were in my opinion one of, if not the best quality headphones, and having had such a great listening experience, I treated myself and secured a pair of one of the best ear headphones on the market !

Somehow I don't think you will be disappointed if you purchase a pair of these!

I give these a 5 star rating.

Fitting comfortably over your ears audio will be a new experience for you with these great Wireless Ear Headphones!

Built with bluetooth technology these headphones deliver the extended highs, powerful lows and natural mid -tones without the wires to worry about, truly one of the best quality headphones around today. These paired to my smartphone without any bother and distance in the store appeared not to be a problem, nice range. Cable included in case you don't wish to go wireless.

Built in mic and control buttons on the earcup which allows hands-free, mobile calling, control of your music and volume control.

One year limited and manufacturers warranty. One of the best rated headphones in 2012.

Little large for my liking but nice and light to wear, complimented with nice sized earcups and breathable cushions that makes you forget you have them on.

Fitting comfortably over your ears audio will be a new experience for you.

I'll give these wireless ear headphones a 3.5 star rating.

Bose QuietComfort 3 Acoustic Noise Cancelling Headphones! - Best Ear Headphones!

I've had my Bose QuietComfort's for some time now, use them mostly during air travel and have no complaints what so ever! They are still one of the best quality headphones out there and your getting a good bang for your buck here!

Once airborne, I kick back, flip the switch, fire up the movie or music and I immediately notice a dramatic reduction to the outside ambiance, including a big reduction in engine noise. These guys are high performing, noise reduction over the ear headphones which are suitable for all environments. Truly one of the best rated headphones available.

With the award-winning Bose QuietComfort Headphones your getting rich, clear, crisp sounds which is to be expected and will make your listening a pleasure, and that's why some are still calling these one of the best ear headphones you can own.

I'll give these a 4.5 star rating.

Diesel Vektr by Monster On-Ear Headphones with ControlTalk - Best Ear Headphones!

Monster MH DESL ON CTU WW On-Ear Headphones, Black
Monster MH DESL ON CTU WW On-Ear Headphones, Black

Diesel VEKTR boasts an uniquely designed, fashionable and impressive pair of sounding on the ears headphones. I could not disagree, they are different and certainly provide a great sound. Although not wireless ear headphones, they come with a detachable monster cable and straight plug which helps in preventing snags and tangles.

The sound performance of these headphones are pretty similar, (but some will disagree) to that of the beats! The bass is not too overwhelming and the sounds are most certainly above average.

Both mids and highs are nice and crisp, where the bass provides a warm and comfortable experience that compliments the music very nicely and not the usual thumping sound which one would expect.

This is certainly a cool hip pair of headphones as much of Monsters publicity keeps reminding us, but truthfully, that does not waver the decision for me, it's more of the sounds with a little of the design thrown in that is my decision maker! Up there with some of the best quality headphones.

For me, and only because of the design, I'll give these a 3.5 star rating.

Monster Inspiration Active Noise Canceling Over-Ear Headphones - Best Ear Headphones!

Monster Inspiration Active Noise-Canceling Over-Ear Headphones, Titanium
Monster Inspiration Active Noise-Canceling Over-Ear Headphones, Titanium

With the Inspirations comes interchangeable headbands which permits you to customize the look/design, along with fairly comfortable ear cushions.

Some good noise cancelling that ensures your music comes through loud and clear, or, use of the ControlTalk feature that helps you control the music, your cell phone, iPad and iPod.

The Inspiration provides you with a pretty good listening experience, nice and clear highs, deep bass and some pretty good mid tones.

A stylish, modern and pretty hip pair of headphones, unfortunately too much emphasis placed upon personalizing the look with use of interchangeable headbands, the ear cushions/design didn't do anything for me and the price is something you would expect to pay for a set of Bose Headphones, in addition to this, they are extremely heavy for a set of headphones which may be an issue on long haul flights, but, having said that, each to their own and just because of my review, you shouldn't rule these out, they are still up there with some of the other best quality headphones!

I'll give these a 3 Star Rating.

Monster Inspiration Headphones Review!

These wireless ear headphones keep the noise out and music in, with the MM 550-X NoiseGard capability, your sure to get a nice and relaxing ride with this set of over the ear headphones.

Providing much the same as it's little brother the CXC 700 model I was beginning to like these, however, price and size was a big factor for me with these headphones.

It was unfortunate that the store did not have any available for trial otherwise I may have formed a different opinion, so unfortunately I only had an insight into their capabilities from what I learned on line and in store, however, with the reputation that Sennheiser has you shouldn't rule these out before finding a pair and giving them a try, I have no doubt that they will rank along with some of the other best quality headphones

Because of no trial I think it fair that these should only be awarded a 3 star rating.

Sennheiser CXC 700 Ear-Canal Travel Headphones with 3 Digital Noise Cancellation Settings
Sennheiser CXC 700 Ear-Canal Travel Headphones with 3 Digital Noise Cancellation Settings

Small but pretty powerful

Noise cancellation provided by the NoiseGard technology which offers a choice of three listening modes to best suit your surroundings.

Equipped with the Talkthrough function allowing you to chat with others or listen to outside ambiance without removing the headphones, another nice product from Sennheiser to add to their list of good quality ear headphones.

After some consultation with floor management who advised me that these guys are engineered for those who frequently fly, I just had to have a listen.

Noise cancellation, talk through function, and mute capability is provided in order for you to hear any noises from the external environment or establish what others are attempting to say without ever removing the headphones.

Your CXC 700's blocks ambient noise just like an earplug is designed to do, and at the same time delivers rich and detailed music to your ears. The sound quality is rich and vibrant and what you would expect for such a price, however, even with the additional functions I still opted for the Miles Davis Trumpet which in my mind delivered a little more. But these are truly one of the best rated headphones on today's market!

I'll give these a 4.5 star rating.

Grado PS1000 Professional Series Stereo Headphone (Discontinued by Manufacturer)

These outstanding but ridiculously priced headphones are for the serious and most dedicated music listeners only. I never did get my hands on a pair of these, pity as I really wanted to try them out, not that I would have purchased a pair, heavens forbid, I just wanted to see what all the hype was.

These stunning and certainly one of the best quality headphones around are the new flagship for Grado and I just had to display them..enjoy!

@MissRubyStars: I believe these are for gaming only! the ones in my lens that I have, or have personally experienced are, although primarily for music can be used for other means, you will certainly find a big difference with any of these headphones compared to the Turtle Beach ones. Hope this helps and thanks for the visit.

My son just purchased a pair of headphones to go with his PS3. I think the brand is Turtle Beach. I was impressed with the sound quality. I'm curious to try out your recommendations and how they compare.

@AlleyCatLane: Hmmm good question, well, I just tried my Miles Davis headphones on and laid on the pillow, and I really had no discomfort at all, my pillows are soft enough to account for the little part that remain outside of the ear, I never really felt anything, no discomfort. Your other choice would be the Sennheiser CXC 700 Active Noise-Canceling Ear-Canal Headphones, another great pair I tried on, but as I have experienced the Miles Davis on the pillow I think you would be safe here...happy listening ;)
