I sure would like to get rid of the "important" folder on my gmail account. I have been unable to find a workable process on the net. Nobody seems to know how to do this.
At best, I would like to merge it with the "inbox" and migrate all the emails in "important" into the "inbox."
Open important folder and click to transfer all messages to your inbox.
Navigate to the left side and click more then click Manage labels. A list will show with your labels. Some will be marked as hidden and some will be shown. Just click to hide the important folder.
