I possess two Dell Tablets one with an Android OS and one with Windows 10 OS. I will admit that my Windows Tablet has a keyboard making it a literal "heavy weight." However, as to whether or not I use it when writing my stories is another matter!
Yes, it is convenient and doesn't take up much room in bed; but when you are used to typing speeds up to well over 70 wmp it can be hard reaching that with an itsy bitsy keyboard. I like having it but I will not buy one for my Android which is strictly for Netflix and games with its 10.1" screen.
I was just wondering how those of you who have tablets with keyboards are fairing when you want to do some "heavy-duty" typing.
I've got a Samsung Note Pro 12.2 and have thought about buying a keyboard for it. However, if I want to write in bed, I use the stylus and Writer or Evernote. Not suitable for 'proper' writing but useful for making notes when something occurs to me.
I always turn to my trusty laptop when writing full length articles and such. I also keep my very old, huge and cumbersome 19" Vista laptop in my bedroom just in case the muse strikes at night. The thought of booting it up usually stops poor muse in his tracks!
Would love you to persuade me that I need that extra keyboard!
If you want it ... by all means get it. I have one and I have to tell you that I love mine!!!
I bought a keyboard to go with mySamsung tablet. The keyboard is full sized, though it is only the length of my tablet. They do this by leaving off some of the extras.
Typing on it is fairly easy except for one thing. Some of the alternate keys such as punctuation marks aren't used by pressing down the shift key. There is a separate key for them. As a touch typist, I'm constantly confounded by that extra key.
One thing I love about it is it attached by magnets. I type with my keyboard at a slight angle when on my PC. I'm able to replicate that with the tablet keyboard.
Sounds like you have adjusted very well indeed. I have the full-sized, fit the tablet as well keyboard. Except for having no number key pad its pretty good--only seems a bit cramped. My Dell tablet is attached to the keyboard by magnets too. It also has its own battery that gives my tablet twice the time before recharging. I can go all day when they are both charged!

Does anyone else find that your computer can't keep up with your typing?I am not sure if it is my keyboard or my computer, but if I start typing fast I have to go back and fix mistakes because it doesn't register me hitting the keys. I have a Toshiba laptop. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Those of you with tabletsCan someone recommend a good tablet. Preferably one that is not too complicated but has the ability to connect a keyboard and has the flexibility of taking quick notes or sitting down and writing something lengthy.
