Okay, so I joined hubpages to make money writing geek-centric blogs and articles for a profit. And well, since I now know that I can post short stories here too, I'll start doing that eventually to build an audience for myself. The objective currently is to earn enough money to fix my computer's hard drive since I can only access it through OS X Utilities. This prevents me from signing up for Google Ad Sense because the browser I'm using isn't up to date and I can't update it. Meaning that I'm unable to make money here for the time being.
So I'm seeking a means to blog while any monetization goes directly to my paypal without having Google ad sense as the middle man. I tried Wordpress an hour or so ago, but my computer wouldn't let me finish the process... And i'm not sure if there are any other sites like wordpress.
So are there any sites where I can monetize my articles while the revenue goes directly to my paypal account?
If you computer can cope with forums, try paid forums posting. E.g. Postloop
Unfortunatley not. Maybe go to a public library or something and use the computer there to sign up for an adsense account? And link it to Hubpages and then use the adprogram which pays you via paypal.

I have a few of my own websites and I get a lot of spam comments. I end up getting overwhelmed and they pile up. I have the Akismet (default) plug-in for filtering spam comments on my wordpress sites, but when I went to upgrade it recently it said I had to pay; that's how I understood it, tell me...

I would argue there are as many as there are books written about them plus the sum of all monotheists living at any given time.

Which is the best platform for monetizing a free blog? Blogger? Wordpress? Others?I am thinking about serializing my novel from NaNoWriMO and giving it it's own blog. Then I'd like to earn some pennies for my effort. What's the latest on monetizing blog platforms?

I am filling out my 1099 Misc Form to submit with my taxes but cannot turn it in because I do not have Hubpages Federal Tax ID #. Does anyone have it on their form from last year? Or does someone know how I can get the number so that I can submit my taxes? Thanks!
