I appear offline at all times on Facebook and so do my friends to me. I have no idea how to...
I would like to correct this.
If your chat is set as "offline" all off your friends that are online cannot see you are on, and you will not see that they are online. You need to click on your chat bar, and next to the name of the group make sure the little dot is green, if it is not you need to click it to "go online". I use this feature to block the chat so certain people do not message me at certain times, or if I need the chat turned off for any reason.
I agree with SognoPiccolo. Just click on the chat bar and you will go online.
