I love my notebook, liked my laptop. I think notebook depending on your needs and wants.
If you have the money get an Apple notebook... The mac book air would be my choice. If money is a problem then a dell laptop is a good idea...
It really depends on what you want to do and how much you wish to spend. I have a netbook which I tend to use for simple working and browsing but tend to use my laptop for more power or when I am travelling for work.
