32 bit OS with 4MB ram or 64 bit operating system with 6GB Ram - which is better
That is a loaded question. Few computers can run a 64 bit operating system. 6 gig of RAM is obviously better no matter the operating system. You can never have too much RAM.
Of course a 64 bit operating system with 6GB or RAM will do you better
32 bit OS are compatible with more software and you will find less problems with it. I have 64 bit and its great, but it does not run everything.
32 bit OS will only accept up to 4GB memory also where 64 bit systems can run much more than that.
I'd choose 64 bit operating system with 6GB (or more) RAM.
The basic criteria on deciding weather to go for 32 bit or 64 bit is the power of your computer. If you have good processor and good memory, there is no reason to install 32 bit OS.
But if you have a PC with lesser processor (core 2duo or less), 32 bit is the way to go.
Overall, 64 bit is much faster than 32 bit in good CPU computers.
