    Ive depends on the seller. Most retail/online outlets will give give you a 6-12 months guarantee but its best to ask the question before you buy.

    Used laptops will rarely have a guarantee because you are buying them from the previous owners in most cases. If you are buying from a store like Amazon or ebay, you will have buyer protection, but no guarantee.

    Refurbished laptops will usually have a warranty unless you are buying them from an independent repair specialist. Some refurbished laptops will only have a 30 day warranty and others up to 12 months, so you definitely need to do research on each laptop before you purchase.
