If you mean how to use Norton Ghost for Windows XP, that question is best left to reading the manual and/or consult Symantec for technical support.
If you mean how to make an IMAGE of the hard drive after you have installed Windows XP, that would depend on which "image" software you are using. In general, you install a fresh copy, then run the image software to create the image of the HD right there to be restored later.
you can make an image with specific software, namely this : Acronis True Image. Its pretty badass software
