Will website redesign will result in loss of PR or ranking?
The website is running for last 10 years and has not been changed in last 3 years.
It has PR 5 and generates leads from search engines.
It has a new design which has different header, few links removed from earlier one and few links text changed.

Not the visual redesign specifically.
Changing the pathing, using bad coding, etc can affect your position.
You may need to do a lot of redirecting, if the link-structure would change. After the changes you could re-upload the sitemap.
If you are willing and able to do all that, then a site redesign can really have a positive effect on traffic.
You could then have a "grand reopening" too!
