Essentially what jailbreaking enables is for the user to have pretty much full access to the functions and capabilities of the iPhone including running apps which are not authorized by Apple located in their App Store. You will be able to access Cydia (as well as still being able to access the Apple App Store), which is basically the app store for jailbroken iPhones, which contains many apps which you wouldn't otherwise be able to run. With a jailbroken iPhone the user is also able to use more advanced features such as SSH tunneling (you can view all the file system on the iPhone and transfer any file from your computer to the iPhone through an SSH connection.

I'm getting ready to upgrade my contract and my phone to a droid. Does anyone have the LG Optimus? I don't need top of the line, nor do I use it while at work. I've heard these are good entry level smartphones. I've read numerous reviews, but thought I would get some more feedback.
