Well, you need an idea. (Your software will be about...). Then it comes programming, You need to ''decorate'' it with a few things (icon, cool pictures) and create an installer (free download from google).
As TheOneWhoKnows says you need to start with an idea about what sort of software your going to create is, you need to know who you are trying to target and wether it will be open source(meaning people can edit it),will it be freeware or will it be commercial software. I suggest starting out with something like Visual basic its easy to to use interface is good and there are thousands of tutorials out there that can help you achieve what you want to achieve! VB language is easy to pick up so it best if your a beginner then you can move on to more complex languages like C and others. The other good thing is that VB Express is free so you can create your software without paying anything. If you want to know more feel free to contact me , thanks nathan grimshaw!

I have lately been experimenting with the free art software Gimp and I've done a quick hubpage about it, although I won't link to it here, you can see it on my profile page.Has anyone used Gimp for their digital art and how have you found it compared to something like Photoshop?

I noticed when linking to YouTube videos when building a new hub, that they did not appear to work. Now I notice none of my videos are visible on my computer using flock and adobe flash 10.Is there a problem with hubpages or is it my computer software?

I would like to know how to do transparencies over two digital photos on my computer. I have a bunch of photo software but haven't explored them too much. I've always loved seeing pictures that are overlapping each other and parts of each photo show through the other. I'd love to...
