Should airships make a comeback as a form of mass transit?
I don't see why not. Now that Airships use non inflammable Helium there shouldn't be any health and safety issues. Although they would not be able to compete with the speed and sheer lifting capacity of winged aircraft. To lift the passenger complement of a 747 would take a helluva big Airship.
