Forced facebook changes: will you stick around? Do you think others will stay or go?
I've heard 50/50. Some people really like the new timeline platform, and others really hate it. Then there are those who are still new to FB, and don't want such dramatic changes so fast. What FB is doing reminds me of what Myspace began to do right before people started leaving the social network. Do you think FB is making a mistake continuing in this direction so dramatically? Are you going to stick around and use the new platform? Do you think your friends will stay to or will they give up facebook and search for a new social network that does what the old FB did?
I believe that Facebook is making some fatal errors. First off, the social networking site was simple to use and that's what made it so attractive. So I ask this question, why fix something that isn't broken to begin with? I have honestly been considering leaving FB even before the changes were introduced. For the reason that, FB has become a platform for people to conduct all types of negative behaviors. I think that FB has taken an ugly turn for the worst. However, I do not think that people will be leaving overnight. More then likely, they will adapt to these changes until something better comes along.
I haven't used Facebook for months, purely because I just got bored of it, not really my cup of tea anymore. I've read about the new timeline feature, and I can see a fair few people departing, as it may be regarded as one change too many.
