I have started to use skype in on-line therapy and I love it and so do the people who are registered with me. I also use it to speak to a friend in Sri Lanka and for the ocassional business meeting where someone is sick or we can't all get to the location. I think it is growing in popularity and the technology is improving making conversations easier.
As a business consultant I get to work with companies of various sizes and I have noticed that instant messaging and Skype in particular are on the increase.
It was once seen as a time waster but I think people are starting to see it's advantages over email. I believe this is a trend that will continue.
