   Do smart phones make you feel dumb?
   
   I'm using a Windows phone to surf Hub Pages, and realized that it makes me look really stupid. I just asked a different question and realized, after publishing it, I had at least two typos. Here I am trying to be a writer and I can't even ask a question without looking like a technotard! Does your smart phone make you feel dumb, too, or is it just me?

   I wouldn't say that my smartphone makes me feel dumb but I do know that I do not use it to its fullest potential. There are several reasons for that. The most important one is because my employer provides the smartphone due to my job. We are allowed to use it for personal use but they do not want us putting a lot of apps, etc. on it. Another reason is because I am not the best technologically so I don't always have a lot of patience when dealing with the phone. Finally, I am still somewhat old school about certain things so I tend to do some things the hard way still rather than using technology to its fullest potential.

      I have a bunch of apps on mine, but I rarely use them.

   Typos happen with me too. that is because of that touch pad. Its just a matter of practice, I guess. But yes, there is too much to explore in a smart phone and I love working on it.
   
   Initially I too felt like a dumb but that's just momentary.

   I don't have a smart phone, but my boyfriend does.  He gets so frustrated and upset because of all the typos he gets.  All he wants to do by the time he is done, is smash his phone.  His problem is the way they make them.  They are so small of a keyboard that his chubby fingers can almost never get the right button.  The average sized hand and finger is not taken into consideration when they make them.  The touch screen dictionary only has so many words in it, so it ends up picking a word that is totally off the wall from the one he wants.
   So, in answer to your question...No, it is not just you!  It's all of us, at one time or another!
