Will removing a header image on my web site decrease my 'bounce rate' in Google analytics?
I suppose that depends how your visitors are interacting with the banner. If it's so large that it pushes the content down too far, or it has a lot of ads embedded in it, maybe you could just make the banner smaller.
Many people have been using small banners or just logo images to the left and an adsense or some kind of ad to the right. Large banners are somewhat dated and smaller ones similar to the top of the Hubpages site is much more common.
In the older days of the internet it was important to have a large header as people spent up to 25 times longer on any given page then they do now (thanks to faster internet speeds). I remember when I was 12 on AOL Dialup and if the whole page loaded before being kicked off it left a good overall visual page to look at before having to hit reconnect and have the dialer dial and wait for it for 2-3 minutes before being connected again.
Also, due to these speeds more images can be used in the content so boring text pages don't have to be boring...and texty.

I have a site to sort out (not mine) and as I'm going along sorting out the content, I got to wondering about that thing that you do that prevents copy and paste maneuvers.I don't actually know what that thing is, I just know that it exists. Is it something that you insert into the code, a widget?...

Does anyone know a way around this? Apparently it used to be possible to upload images as PNG files, but they compress them now also.

Possibly I overlooked the answer to this question in the forums, but I have noticed over the past three weeks at least, a significant drop of at least half of my traffic views during this period. And of course a significant drop in my earnings. Are other writers in the community...
