Has anyone set up a writer page on Facebook separate from any personal pages?

Does this help you to get more visitors to your hubs?

I have not, but I would love to know how to do it.

I've done it and get the majority of my Hub views from my Facebook page.  Every day I post an article or two and they always get views right away.

Thanks Bobby, I was debating whether it is worth it or not, I think it probably is worthwhile. Thanks so much!

Visit my FB page from my Hub profile page and you can see how I have it set up, if that helps.

Thanks so much, Bobby, that was really helpful! I love the way you have that set up, very cool! smile That's a great way to do it sharing a mixture of interesting pictures with hub links... and I LOVE the picture of the dogs in the Halloween costumes!

Thanks, Judi! I am still in the "thinking about it" stage, it's good to hear different viewpoints. Thanks so much for answering!

Kathy... this should be the same as a fan page. Just google how to set up a fan page on youtube and there should be all that you need.

I just set one up. So far I only have 4 or 5 people liking my fan page but I just put up the link last night. I went to a fellow hubbers site, Julie Deneen. She has the info to get it started and a lot of other great info.

Thanks so much, HoneyBB! I will look at Julie's page. I don't use facebook with a personal account, but might consider it just to post links to hubs that I've written. Thanks for your help! smile

I have a fan page for my blogs, but it's only been up a few days and I only add blog posts, not hubs.

Also everyone remember to do their keywords on everything you do.. but don't over do the usage... keep them to 1% keyword density or you can run afoul of Google...

I set up an author page for myself just today. It was super easy and hopefully it gets the word out about my writing.

No I haven't but have thought of it.  I have a separate one for my music business but it hasn't really done anything to further our business either.  I have introduced a friend to Hubpages who has joined.  Please check her out and welcome her!

Yes and Yes.  Because I write about dog agility and there is a large dog agility community on Facebook, I get several views off of my FB fan page. However, I also only get views if I remember to post my new hubs onto the page. smile  I also have a business fan page for my dog agility school, and almost all of my current business comes off of my business and personal FB pages anymore.  However, I'm not sure if I couldn't "plug in" to an active FB community if I would have much traffic off of a FB writer's page.  It would be nearly impossible for interested people to even find my fan page amongst all of the FB pages out there.

I'm not sure I have garnered many FB fans off of the FB link on my hubpages profile however.  My "fans" tend to be people who found me through my friend's list, friends of friends or my business page.

I was actually thinking about doing this. I was a little worried it wouldn't do as well as I thought it would.

I haven't seen a big increase in traffic, but it's only been less than two days! wink I'll let you know if it seems to help! Thanks everyone for your great answers! smile

I don't have one. Does it help at all? I think a Hubpages community page on facebook might help more.

I think it's been helping somewhat, Rosyel! But then I've only had the page for a few days so it's hard to tell. There IS a HubPages Facebook page, I found it when I was on there the other day. Here is the link:
