Have you ever clicked on pop-ups regarding you specifically-folks who are in your hometown, esp.?
Have you ever clicked on pop-ups to find out who ('like you'), 'hate you', or are 'in love with you' in your home town (or elsewhere)?
I don't click on any pop ups, anywhere, no matter what they tell me. Them's how ya gets viruses 'n' junk.
No, all such popups are linked to sites that contain spyware and viruses. Hackers often use said tactics so that they can spread their viruses and spyware quicker through unsuspecting victims.
Shame on me, then-I'm a fairly new computer user and didn't understand what pop-ups really were. Thanks for your enlightenment, you two!
Are you 'curious' about these silly things, though?
Being a computer consultant for a living, I've learned to recognize the difference between curiosity and awareness on the web. Being curious while surfing the web gets you into trouble and gets your computer infected, with costly repairs in the end.
