Do you think Google Glass will catch on?
Google's newest toy, do you think this will catch on?
I think it will take some time, and definitely some testing, but yes they will catch on. Just like when the Android phones first came out we will have to go through a few years of field testing and patches before a good product is sold that fits our needs, but it will happen. Only a matter of time.
Unless something is invented that is better than the Glass model, Glass will fill our lives. Maybe not so much at home but in the work place. The benefits of "information at a glance" for couriers, doctors, technicians and so on, are many.
It will also take a good portion of the mobile phones away. If you use a mobile/cell phone whilst on the move, why would you use a phone when you can communicate better with Glass.
Businesses and geeks will pick up Google Glass like "ducks to water".
After watching a few video demos, it's just not as awesome as it could be. I want to be able to navigate with eye movement. I can't even imagine how fast I could build a website if I didn't have to rely on hands and slow navigation! I say not yet!
