How does the IPhones HDR option for taking photos, work exactly?
I am new to owning an IPhone 4 and have the option for HDR on when I take photos. Now there are two of every photo. Is the second image the better one always? When I asked this of some people, they said not necessarily, and I thought I would bring the question here to get your thoughts on your favorite preferences for taking photos with your IPhone. Even if you don't have one, or did in the past, maybe you have some thoughts?
The second image isn't always better par say, HDR basically makes your iPhone take 3 consecutive photos at one time. The first image is taken with a lower exposure and brightness, the second shot is a normal shot of the photo and the third uses a high exposure and brightness.
Then the iPhone combines all 3 images and uses an algorithm to combine all photos and give the best quality lighting possible.
