How does one determine page rank?
I have seen others post their page rank and was wondering how you tell?
I use an SEO toolbar on Firefox that shows me pagerank and alexa rank. I have only found these types of toolbars on Firefox though, not chrome or Internet Explorer. I believe this tool bar is called 'SEO toolbar'.
If you currently are using Firefox, then simply click on tools, add-ons, and search for pagerank. When you find one you like, click on install, and restart Firefox. Or, you can go here: http://www.prchecker.info/check_page_rank.php and enter the page
Thanks Relationshipc , as an avid fan, user and advocate of Firefox, I will be installing this add-on.
Simple, powerful, gives you good information, doesn't require Captcha.
I answered this question in my SEO Tutorial Hub. But, to give you the short answer, you can never really know what the PageRank of a page is because it changes every time Google crawls the Web. The visible page rank you see displayed hasn't changed since February and represents the average daily PageRank from November 7, 2012 - February 4, 2013. So, the one you see is very outdated.

For example if I got a backlink from a webpage called lets say www .computers. com/cpuforumIf the pagerank of the domain (www .computers. com) was lets say 5 but the page rank of the sub-domain (www .computers. com/cpuforum) is 0. Will search engines recognize my backlink as a pagerank 5 or...

When evaluating the competition of keywords, I always check the PageRank of the first four results to see the competition. I avoid keywords that have pages with PR 4-5 since they are impossible to beat. There haven't been any PR updates this year or last year so I had to raise the question; is PR...

Do Any Hubbers Have Google Page Rank Above 6?Delving further into SEO, I looked at the Google Page Rank for HubPages (which for the whole site is 6) and for my subdomain (which is currently 4). Does anyone on HubPages have a Google Page Rank above 6?
