Technology has turned listening into a dying art
At the restaurant or when a person is speaking from a platform/stage, when couples are sitting next to one another or friends sitting in the same room, nobody truly listens or converses with the person sitting next to them or in the same room because technology has stolen the human, personal touch of human interaction .

Is reading a dying art?Ever since radio became a public medium- the art of reading began to tumble from the important place it once held in human consciousness. The basis of education was the three R's- writing and reading the first two. Has reading become a dying art?

I truly love the short story, and often wonder why there aren't more authors in the genre. Is it a lack of interest by the readers, or the writers, or both? Am I wrong, and why? Any thoughts on this subject would be greatly appreciated.

I feel that through the evolution of Facebook, emails, texting etc. there is a risk that we're losing touch with human touch. Anybody have any feedback, or stories relating to this? Is this the right forum for this?
