Techies: Can I use the Instagram app on my Mac notebook?

    Techies:  Can I use the Instagram app on my Mac notebook?

    I can view other people's photos and add follows/followers, but I cannot download an app, it seems, that allows me to post photos.  I know Instagram is for mobile phones -- I do not have a smart phone -- but it seems rather strange that there doesn't seem to be a way to use a PC or notebook/tablet to do this. Is there something I am missing?  I'm not very tech davy, when it comes to stuff like this.  Thanks for your input.  t

    You might want to try Flume https://itunes.apple.com/app/id792425898
    for mac.
    You can also use http://www.bluestacks.com/ which is an android emulator and will allow you to use any android app on the desktop.
    Hope this helps

    My Mac is OS X 10.9.5 but the Flume app says it has to be 10.10 or greater. Sigh,  Thanks, though. (This the kind of week I'm having).

      I was able to download the Safari update that let me add the Flume app. But now, how do I post pics and such... I've not figured that out yet.  Thanks for your help!
