What role do you see Artificial Intelligence playing in our personal lives in the future?
Definitely a big role; technology is constantly advancing. Heck, we've already developed several impressive gadgets (jetpacks, hoverboards) that aren't commercially available yet only because of costs. As superior methods of production are developed, these product integrate into our lives.
In a similar manner, artificial intelligence is slowly creeping in as well. We can have machines check as out at Wal-Mart. We've developed programs capable of tricking real humans into believing they are chatting with another actual person. Many of us have Siri in our pockets to command.
For better or for worse, gadgets are becoming more and more advanced, and less interaction between people is needed. Many tasks can be performed for less cost by machines, and before long, we may even develop fully functional robots to act as friends or servants.
Of course, we're not there yet. Here's hoping to a positive future.
