How to get the DSLR-like effect with the phone camera?
Depends what you mean by DSLR effect. If you mean a soft, unfocused background, the iPhone 7 Plus has a portrait mode that will mimic that. See; https://www.apple.com/newsroom/2016/10/ … h-ios-101/
Otherwise, there are a number of apps that will allow you to adjust the focus after you have taken the shot. Snapseed, and others do that, but with varying degrees of success. A lot depends on the original photo, but there are some things you can do in post processing that helps.
If you want long-exposure or stop-action (on a tripod) - yeah, have app for that, but won't get any macros with it due to the lens. and the sensor is much smaller.. don't bother with those tiny lensadd-ons - tried it - don't work.
